This tracks oral GLP-1 medicines, the tablet forms of a drug class first delivered by injection. Two are for weight management: the Wegovy pill (oral semaglutide 25 mg, Novo Nordisk) and orforglipron (Foundayo, Eli Lilly). Rybelsus (oral semaglutide 3/7/14 mg) is shown for context as the diabetes pill, not a weight-loss product. Each country is placed in one of three bands by the status of a weight-loss oral pill: on the market (a pill is being sold, even privately), approved but not yet launched (authorised, no confirmed national launch), or under review (no approval yet). The European Union authorises centrally, so one European Commission decision covers every EU country at once; the United Kingdom (MHRA), Switzerland (Swissmedic) and, through the EEA, Norway run on their own timing.
Approval is well documented; commercial launch and price are not, and they change fast. Where a launch or price could not be sourced, the country shows its approval status and the launch is marked unconfirmed rather than guessed.
